PostSubject: Welcome Aboard!   Mon Jul 13, 2009 5:24 pm

You know, as administrator of this site, I spend a LOT of time watching the numbers of people who arrive on site - and the number of people who STAY here.

If you think you are here alone - think again!

It is gratifying, and exciting to see how many chess players out there are interested in what we do on this site - and it is fascinating to note that they are willing to take some time from their busy day to train themselves to be better chess players.

What I'd hoped for when beginning this site is a place where chess players could learn chess other than through the ( very limited) common avenues. I wanted to open the door to a whole new way of thinking about chess training. It would seem that we are having some measure of success! Very Happy

We aren't turning our backs on traditional training methods - but we are admitting that if we believe that alone is sufficient - without hard work involved - we've been had!

Remember when here in the forum, others might be here with you. Who is on is always announced for you in the forum status panel.

Also remember that you can chat with any one else on line directly. Just log on - and the chat will appear. Whoever is on with you will be announced.

So take some time to chat and get to know the other gym patrons. After all - they understand you - and you them!

Again - Welcome to Chess-Stack - and thanks for training with us.
